Battery production, handling, and recycling following ecological standards

Enabling energy applications with the utmost ecological commitment towards natural resources, the environment and the generations to follow is a clear mission for us at Leclanché. This is translated in the production, the handling, and the recycling of our batteries.

Our production process is geared to using only the minimum amount of raw materials. As a one-stop producer we fabricate all the ingredients of our batteries at our facility. Our recipes are exactly calculated to the amount of material to be produced, left over materials are recycled. Of course we also clean, control and check our exhaust air and water.

All our Leclanché batteries come with many integrated safety and ecology features. The long lifetime of our batteries also reduces the ecological load by ensuring that our batteries can be reliably used for many charge cycles.

At Leclanché we assure that all used batteries are properly recycled according to applicable law. Thus we ensure that the environment is protected. Leclanché is an active member of the Swiss Inobat Interest Organization for the disposal of batteries.
